Amanda

My name is Amanda and I am the Lead Registered Veterinary Technician here at Banner Road. Ever since I was a little kid I had a strong love for our furry little friends, and knew that I wanted to work with animals when I grew up. There was no other career choice for me.

I started here at Banner Road in 2003 as a co-operative student. When I graduated high school, I was hired on as an assistant/kennel attendant while I attended my secular education. I graduated from University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2007 as a Veterinary Technician and passed the VTNE exam to become registered in 2008. My favourite part of my job is surgery, especially when the doctors ask me to assist them during the procedure.

My husband and I have 2 fur babies, a Hungarian Viszla named Sophia and a Ginger Furball Kitty named Wilbur. A fun fact about me is that I LOVE to travel and be in nature. Any time off I have, you will find me jet setting around the world experiencing a new adventure.
