From a very young age I developed a strong love for animals. I was certain I would grow up to be a farmer! I spent many days at my grandparent’s farm hanging out with the calves and kittens, then worked summers at my uncle’s farm in my teens. My love for animals was encouraged by my parents, we always had multiple pets in the house growing up. We had dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, rabbits and even a pet crow named Theo that we rescued as an injured baby.

I spent one year studying Psychology and English at Western University and quickly learned this was not my passion…animals were! I decided to make the change and attended University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus. I graduated with my Veterinary Technology degree in 1999 and wrote my registration exam a few months later to become an RVT. I did my externship here at Banner Road and have never looked back. Banner Road is like a family to me. We are an amazing team who love to have fun and support each other, while giving great care to all of our patients.

In my free time you will find me cheering on the Blue Jays and Leafs, gardening, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. We have 5 pets at home, 3 dogs named Bella, Charlie and Spud, and 2 cats named Melky and Russell.
