I started my journey with animals growing up on a mixed farm just outside Avon, Ontario. After completing both undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Western Ontario in genetics and biochemistry, I graduated with a veterinary medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2003, perfectly combining my interests in biological sciences and animal welfare. I have worked at a number of small animal clinics in Southwestern Ontario, finally settling at Banner Road Veterinary Services in 2007.
I appreciate both the medical and surgical sides of practice, but particularly enjoy meeting the people and pets that visit the clinic. Rescuing unwanted animals is an occupational hazard, and I currently share my home with two naughty rescue cats, a border collie/labrador retriever mix named Shady and a dachshund/corgi cross named Willis.
